Artist Statement

What drives me to paint is my desire to explore the human condition. Through art I strive to capture the most common to the most complex elements of our nature, to visit my own struggles and the struggles of others, and to explore the emotions we all share yet find so hard to explain. As such I create work that is not blatant in subtext by injecting subtle gesture and bold color into everyday situations producing images that intrigue and occasionally disturb.
